THIS IS A DOUBLE BLIND CLINICAL STUDY FOR A DRUG FREE PAIN PATCH

THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE IN SOUTHERN CA ONLY.

We are looking for men and women 25-65 years old with chronic knee or low back pain. By chronic pain I mean a degree of pain that has lasted for at least 3 months. Not acute pain from recent surgery or recent injury/accident. However, it can be chronic pain from an injury or accident that has lingered and is ongoing.

This is a drug free, non-latex patch for pain. You are not a guinea pig for this product it is currently sold in the USA. They are just conducting an additional study for the product. There are no contraindications or side effects with this product.

If selected for the study, we will need to meet with you one time for 60-90 minutes. We will then do a 5 minute follow up phone call at the 6 hour mark and the 72 hour mark after that initial meeting. You will get $100 for attending the intial meeting and then another $100 after the 24 and 72 hour phone call. That is a total of $200 for the 72 hour project. The product (valued at over $300) is yours to keep. If you get the placebo patch at the initial meeting, we will mail you the authentic patch.

At the initial meeting, we will apply the patch and then at the 6, 24 and and 72 hour mark, we will do a 5 minute pain assessment by phone. These calls will be super quick!

IF SELECTED, YOUR COMMITMENT WOULD BE:

Coming to an office to get the patch and put it on and then taking an intial pain assessment after wearing the patch for 15 minutes. (Total Time: 60-90 Minutes)
Wearing the patch for 72 hours after it's applied. Yes, you can shower, go about normal activities, etc.
Pick up the phone 6, 24 and 72 hours after the initial meeting to take another 5 minute pain assessment over the phone.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS:

This is an additional double blind study for the product. Double blind means a certain number of folks will get the placebo. If you get the placebo, you will ultimately be mailed an authenctic patch.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU:

Currently use a prescription medicine for pain. (OTC meds okay).
Are not willing to stop using a TENS, magnet, red light or PEMF a week prior to the study.
Have allergies to hospital grade silicone adhesive. (It is non-latex)
Have a history of drug or alcohol abuse,
Have chronic liver, kidney disease.
Have mental health issues
Are morbidly obese.
